John Kline has been a practicing consultant for financial institutions since 1997 when he joined the consulting firm of Mauldin & Jenkins, LLC. In 2005, Kline & Associates acquired the regulatory consulting practice from Mauldin & Jenkins. Since then, he has consulted on 25 de novo banks that have opened in addition to the over 30 while at Mauldin & Jenkins. Mr. Kline previously held a senior regulatory position with the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance where he worked for 24 years. Mr. Kline, a graduate of the University of Georgia, also holds a Graduate Banking Certificate from the University of Wisconsin, and a Certified Financial Examiner designation. He teaches numerous banking related schools and conducts seminars for financial institutions.
